There are many people who are applying for GATE 2015. Some are struggling with uploading the documents. And getting a response to our queries is almost an impossible task.
Here is solution to a common problem.
Are you trying to upload a PDF file of eligibility certificate or Certificate from Principal?
And suddenly it shows "Upload a valid Eligibility certificate in PDF format with file size between 10KB and 300KB!"
And you find you are uploading a file in PDF format and that is well within the size specified!
Don't worry. A little bit of work is needed to sort this thing out.
SOLUTION:
Scan it as an image file of size less than 300.
A 75 dpi or 100dpi will do. If it gives you a bigger file, then just check the advance settings of your scanner and opt for a smaller size file.
So now you have scanned the certificate and saved the .jpeg version of your certificate.
Now you need to convert this jpeg file into a pdf file. There are so many free online jpeg to pdf converters are available.
Google will show you or else you can use this site ( another google suggestion)
http://www.convert-jpg-to-pdf.net/
Here you will select your file, upload it and then convert it into pdf. At the end you can download the file, and maybe do a renaming before uploading it into IIT site.
So you are all set to upload your certificates.
For trouble free uploads of other files, like your photograph and sign, just follow the guidelines provided by the GATE site.
Hope this information helped you.
Thank you for your visit
and All the very Best

Thank God and a big thanks to this site. I've been trying to upload my certificate for 2 hrs. but couldn't. Finally followed your instructions and it was done in no time.

Thanks for this detailed instruction! I can also recommend you using this jpg to pdf converter https://img-converter.com/en/convert/jpg-to-pdf/. It's almost the same as you've recommended but gives you much more options for file transformation. It's also extremely fast and reliable.
