Celebrations of Media

We are quite aware of the fact that the media like Television, News paper etc literally celebrate all major events. May be it some one's success, failure, gossips, and even death. These celebrations are their struggle for existence! The more they celebrate, the better they are doing their business.

The celebration of success, achievement are always welcome. Because they are positive, they can inspire people and can do a lot of wonders in the society. But what about the other side??

Celebration of Death!!

Haven't you seen in television, the special programs and discussions on some celebrities death? We can argue that its is a part of paying tribute to that great personality. But isn't also a kind of celebration?
I am not against paying tribute to the great people who had done so much of great things to our society. But what made me think about all these things is one fact.

When news flashes that some celebrity passed away, in the next time slot the TV people telecast special program on that person. These programs are all well edited and informative one,of course. Well, any one has some previous experience with video editing can tell that, it takes more than 1 minute, even for editing a 1 minute duration clip. So how are they doing all these things within a very short span of time?? Are they expecting all these things in advance and preparing these in advance or is it my mere ignorance on latest technology or am i underestimating the quick brilliant video editors??

If they are expecting someone's death and prepares a special programs to telecast on the 'D-day' in advance, what do we need to call it? Is it ethical or unethical? I have no answers for these.
And it all became a part of our society, The celebrations..

[Here in this post, my intention was not to blame anyone. I was just sharing my opinion. Well everyone's wish is to gain some personal advantage. See how i am celebrating the celebration of death!!!]

Another diffrent yet thought provoking topic :) you seem to think lot nowadays huh ;)heheehehehe..coming on to my opinions on your questions : Doing it in short span of time : its coz of technology dude..i would say a part of your ignorance on changing technlogies..while technology swrils every second , its not very tough to get information on popular ceelbrities ..may be for a lay man , some information might be new , but for those who work in this sorta things , they always keep data ready , coz all they want is to sell their news at right time..also with access to technology becoming quite easy and cheaper , editing and making a programme on celebrity death is not a big task..coz media are experts in cooking stories - they have talent to run a lay mans death story for whole day...And coming to question to ethics and all..well its said "everything is fair in love and war "..they love to make money and are on war with ther competitor..And hey your celebration is quite different :)

I read they plan it ahead of time. I don't think the celebrities mind if it is done positive. Celebrities like being in the spot light.

And NEWS SERVICE is a business..

I think it is ethical.

I just wish that celebrities were not treated so god-like. It is a job to sing; act; play ball; and they are paid waaay too much; and talked about way too much.

I rather hear more about spiritual growth; love for all; Humanity; reducing the ego; feeding the world..

Then what celebrity dated who..

thank u Ms Hen for dropping by..Wel i do like the path of spirituality..i do agree with concept of love for all.. :)

I am not so sure it is ethical. I know a celebritys life is pretty much a public thing. But not all of them like it. I mean look at what the media did when Heath Ledger died. How they were snapping pictures of his body being taken out. Or how they carried on over Michael Jackson, when just a few years before they were all looking for proof MJ was some kind of freak.

That being said I do think a nice tribute to the celebrity is nice a day or two later.

Following on from Christiejo's post, why were there all these photographers hanging around Heath Ledgers apartment BEFORE it was even announced that he had died?
I am one of the people that his death was faked.
There are far to many things that just don't add up about his death. A healthy young man just doesn't die the way that he did.
For the past two years I have been doing research into this, and still no answers as to why his family all kept so quiet, and everyone looked actually happy at his funeral!
I could talk about this all night, but I guess that I have written too much for a post, but check out out my early posts on my blog:

You are right that we celebrate death too much and life--not enough.
